Signs of spring are coming soon

akagaeru
  • Nihonakagaeru | Japanese Brown Frog
  • The Japanese Brown Frog is caracteraized by long snout and the line pattern that runs from its nose to its back. They are often found near open waterside and they have webbed hands. They don't have sucker fingers because they don't need to climb trees.
Their breeding season seems to begin in early spring (February or March), the day I took these photos was "Usui" on 19th February. "Usui" is a calendar marking the time when the weather changes from snow to rain and the snow begins to melt. It was a good sunny and warm day, and there were so many frogs in the small pond ,croaking for breeding.
