The Predator

kokamakiri
  • Kokamakiri | Mantis | Statilia maculata
  • Kokamakiri is a small mantis caracterized by black pattern on the inside of its sickle. They wait patiently for their prey on flowers and leaves, and when the prey arrives, they quickly catch it with their special sickles. They have a ferocious personality that preys on anything that moves, and sometimes eat not only insects but also birds.

The compound eyes of mantis have a false iris called a pseudopupil. That's why they seem to be looking at us.
When I took the photo, our eyes met (didn't meet exactly) and for a moment I was scared that I was going to be eaten. The small body has threat as a predator and it may have brought back a distant memory of being attacked by a predator in my gene.
I only know two people who can defeat them. One is Arnold and the other is Baki.
