Good hunter on the waterside

heron
  • Aosagi | Grey Heron
  • The grey heron, which is one of the largest among herons, is surprisingly impressive when seen up close, and the size of its wingspan is something to behold. And when they take food underwater, they shoot their bent necks toward the water's surface so fast that the eye can't follow them, and they have the strength to punch a hole in any hard object.
In English, it is called Grey Heron, but in Japanese it is called Blue Heron. It does indeed have a bluish-grey body, and I am amazed at the rich color sense of the person who named it a Blue Heron because of this bluish color.
